The course was prepared as part of the project entitled "Platon. Online educational courses for students" (project number: POWR.03.01.00-00-W071/18). Project co-financed by the European Union under the European Social Fund – Operational Programme Knowledge Education Development. 


In the modern world, burnout is a growing problem. It negatively affects not only the lives of employees but also the functioning of the organization.

The Work-Life Balance course aims to equip participants with tools to maintain a balance between work and private life.


PREREQUISITES

You do not need to have any prior knowledge to proceed with the course. The course is intended for anyone interested.


COURSE OBJECTIVES

Thanks to participation in the "Work Life Balance" course:

  • you will learn how to effectively set goals, priorities, and your own needs,
  • you will learn how you can identify factors that motivate you to work and help you find a balance,
  • you will gain knowledge that will help you learn about your limitations and possibilities related to creating a balance in life,
  • you will understand the benefits of work-life balance.

COURSE CONTENT

MODULE 1. Work-life balance: Maintaining balance between work and personal life

 

The most important topics you will learn in this module:

  • work-life balance – the balance between work and personal life,
  • job burnout,
  • Circle of Life.

 

MODULE 2. Energy management as the foundation of balance (Tony Schwartz’s effectiveness model)

The most important topics you will learn in this module:

  • holistic view of human being,
  • areas of personal resources,
  • energy and its sources,
  • energy management.

MODULE 3. Self-motivation – self-diagnosis of consistency of rhythm, values and needs

The most important topics you will learn in this module:

  • spiritual energy,
  • needs,
  • value system,
  • self-diagnosis,
  • self-motivation.

MODULE 4. Emotional energy: balance of emotions

The most important topics you will learn in this module:

  • emotions,
  • emotions management,
  • emotional intelligence.

MODULE 5. Physical energy: a sound mind in a sound body

The most important topics you will learn in this module:

  • physical energy,
  • sleep and rest,
  • balanced diet,
  • physical activity,
  • health intelligence.

MODULE 6. Mental energy: Take care of your brain

The most important topics you will learn in this module:

  • mental energy,
  • brain,
  • mental resources.

MODULE 7. Effectiveness according to S. Covey

The most important topics you will learn in this module:

  • habits,
  • the model of the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People,
  • 8th habit.

MODULE 8. Self-management in time

The most important topics you will learn in this module:

  • self management,
  • self-management in time,
  • creative problem solving and planning methods.

MODULE 9. Concentration, mindfulness and balance

The most important topics you will learn in this module:

  • concentration,
  • mindfulness,
  • concentration training,
  • deepening mindfulness.

MODULE 10. Stages of change according to J. O. Prochaska – Individual plan of implementation

The most important topics you will learn in this module:

  • the holistic view of life,
  • Prochaska’s Stages of Change,
  • individual plan of implementation.

 


CONDITIONS FOR PASSING THE COURSE

To pass the course and obtain a certificate you have to read the entire material and get a total of 50% of the points that can be gained from the activities included in the course.


CONDITIONS FOR OBTAINING A CERTIFICATE

If you get a total of 50% of the points that can be gained from the activities, the platform will generate a course completion certificate for you within 24 hours.
