Internal Auditor of the Integrated Quality, Environment and Occupational Health and Safety Management System

The course was developed as part of the project "MOOC@PB-Nowoczesne technologie w procesie kształcenia" contract no. POWR.03.01.00-00-W040/18-00 . 

The aim of the course is to gain knowledge about systems that form an integrated management system for quality, environment and occupational health and safety and to learn the principles of conducting an internal audit and its course.

The course provides basic information about the 3 main systems that make up an integrated management system (IMS) in an organization, namely: the quality management system, environmental management system and occupational health and safety management system, based on ISO standards. It also includes practical tips for effectively conducting an internal audit of an integrated management system.

The course is aimed at students, entrepreneurs and all people interested in integrated management systems, people involved in building and maintaining effective quality, environmental and occupational health and safety management systems.

PREREQUISITES

The course is intended for everyone who is interested in management systems based on ISO standards. The course does not require any prior knowledge of this subject.

MODULE 1

Introduction to integrated management systems

The module presents standards on which the development and implementation of integrated systems is based. It presents ways to integrate systems and the principles on which integrated quality, environmental and occupational health and safety management systems are based.

MODULE 2

Quality management system

The module presents different aspects of understanding the concept of quality. It focuses on the requirements of ISO 9001:2015, taking into account the 7 principles of quality management.

MODULE 3

Environmental management system

The module presents the requirements of ISO PN-EN ISO 14001:2015 Environmental management systems - Requirements and guidelines for application. The process of identification of environmental aspects, selection of significant aspects, action planning and identification of non-conformities are discussed.

MODULE 4

Occupational health and safety management system

The module presents basic information about the occupational health and safety management system model according to PN-ISO 45001:2018 Occupational health and safety management systems - Requirements and guidelines for application. The concepts of the incident, opportunity and risk as well as process approach in OSH management are presented.

MODULE 5

Audit

The module introduces the types of audits. The characteristics of internal audit, how to conduct it and its benefits are discussed.

CREDIT REQUIREMENTS

In order to pass the course, students must earn at least 75% of the points possible on the follow-up tests.

CONDITIONS FOR OBTAINING A CERTIFICATE

In order to receive the certificate, you must complete all follow-up tests with a score of at least 75%.

Ewa Rauba, PhD

I am an assistant professor at the Faculty of Engineering Management of BIALYSTOK UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY. By education, I have a master's degree in environmental engineering and a PhD in economics. My main field of interest is environmental management and management and operating costs of water and wastewater utilities.

For many years I have been lecturing on environmental management and management systems based on ISO standards. A great motivation for me are successes of my students. I believe that in everyone lies the desire to deepen their knowledge and skills. I hope that the course Internal auditor of integrated quality, environment and occupational health and safety management system will allow participants to get to know the systems in an accessible way and will prepare them to begin their adventure with the implementation of these systems.
