The course was created as part of an implementation project co-financed by European Funds (Knowledge - Education - Development program) "E-learning courses for PWSH POMERANIA students as an additional element of the education process" (POWR.03.01.00-00-W014/18)
Educational course for students constituting an additional element of the education process on first and second degree studies.
Desription of the course
The aim of the course is to develop the creative potential of the participants. The training will result in increased creativity, faster and more constructive problem solving and decision making.
The course will also be devoted to breaking thought barriers both at the level of solving short-term tasks and managing one’s own life.
The workshop will include such issues as:
finding creative resources and posibilities of revealing them on a daily basis,
discovering the reasons why creativity is not always revealed,
overcoming stereotypes and rigid thought patterns,
improving creative thinking, making the mind more flexible to create as many original, unusal ideas as possible,
developing creative cooperation in a group,
ways to function in a more creative and original way in your personal life.
At the end of the course the participant will also know various ways (methods and techniques) of solving problems and be able to apply them adequately to the situation.
What are you going to learn?
While working with the course, the participants:

evaluate their creative potential at the beginning and at the end of the course,
▹
learn methods, techniques and tools of creative thinking, creative problem solving and decision making, and will be able to apply them adequately to the situation,
▹
have the opportunity to find creative resources and possibilities in himself/herself and discover the reasons why their creativity was not always revealed,
▹
develop creative thinking, creative problem solving and decision making both at the level of individual functioning as well as group work,
▹
develop the functioning of cognitive processes in the field of creative thinking, in particular the mental operations such as: abstracting, deductive reasoning, metaphorical thinking, transforming, making associations, inductive reasoning,
▹
learn to function more creatively in their personal and professional lives.
Preliminary requirements
The course is intended for everyone who wants to improve their skills in the field of creative thinking, creative problem solving and decision making. Since its assumption is to improve skills, it is not recommended for people who want to develop only their knowledge in this area. The active form of participation, completing exercises and tasks is the essence of this course, and theoretical knowledge is its foundation, but not its essence.
Course program
In the course there are 10 modules with a total of In the course there are 10 modules with a total of 100 teaching hours.
Module aims:
self-analysis of creative potential,
to make insights into one's ways of thinking and habits in terms of creativity,
measuring creativity skills at the beginning of the course to assess the development of these skills after the course.
The module consists of a series of exercises involving tasks which effective performance depends on the level of revealed creative abilities and exercises aimed at examining creative abilities.
The module consists of 2 lessons of approximately 7 hours work.
Lesson 1. Look at your own creativity
Lesson 2. You as a creative creature
Module aims:
expanding knowledge related to thinking, creative thinking, problem solving and the limitations of these processes,
inducting or strengthening the belief in the value of improving these cognitive functions.
The module consists of 8 lessons of approximately 12 hours work.

Module aims:
preparation for more advanced creative tasks in following modules,
improving the efficiency of our cognitive functioning in terms of creative thinking,
development of cognitive curiosity and openness to problems.
The module consists of a series of exercises of a divergent nature, i.e. not having a single answer, requiring speculational thinking and stimulating such thinking skills as: fluency, flexibility and originality.
The module consists of 3 lessons of approximately 10 hours work.

Module aims:
inducting motivation to develop creativity and creative thinking,
drawing inspiration for creative activity.
The module consists of lessons presenting examples of creative solutions, creativity in thinking, innovative products in various fields (architecture, art, technology, business, everyday life) and also at different levels of complexity.
Module consists of 6 lessons of approximately 10 hours work.
Each lesson of the module is devoted to a different mental operation and includes a theoretical part (description of the mental operation) and a set of exercises for its development.

Module aims:
development of knowledge about inventory and inventive methods,
development of skills to improve creative problem solving and the search for new solutions, ideas and concepts, with the help of inventive methods suitable for individual work.
The module consists of a lesson introducing the inventory and three lessons presenting selected inventive techniques.
Module consists of 4 lessons of approximately 8 hours work.

Module aims:
an increase in knowledge about group productivity, its opportunities and limitations,
an increase in teamwork skills,
improving skills of dealing with conflict situations during group work,
developing the ability to improve creative problem solving and search for new solutions, ideas, using inventive methods appropriate for a group work.
The module consists of a theoretical lesson on group productivity and six lessons presenting methods and tools useful in group activities.
Module consists of 7 lessons of approximately 11 hours work.

Module aims:
increase of knowledge of decision-making and decision-making techniques,
development of the skills in the application of techniques useful in decision making,
development of effective decision-making skills.
The module consists of a theoretical lesson on decision making and a lesson presenting methods and tools useful in decision making.
Module consists of 2 lessons of approximately 6 hours work.

Module aims:
increase in knowledge about coaching and self-coaching,
development of skills in applying coaching techniques,
development of skills of creating one's own life.
The module shows the process of "creating oneself" on the basis of selected coaching tools and gives the possibility to go through this process (from diagnosis - discovering development needs, through defining the development goal, to choosing solutions and creating an action plan whose essence is to realize this goal).
Module consists of 5 lessons of approximately 10 hours work.

Module aims:

Rules of completing the course
There is one type of student activity in the course that is being assessed:

checking student’s knowledge by short tests at the end of every module.
In each test there are 5 questions. There are a total of 40 scored questions throughout the whole course.
Tests after each module are single-choice, the answers to each of them can be found in the presented lessons. The participant of the course has only two attempts to successfully pass the test.
In order to pass the course, it is necessary to achieve minimum 60% of all possible points for each test. Those who achieve a score of at least 61% of all tests will receive a certificate of completion of the course.

Course supervisor: mgr Małgorzata Dworzańska
mgr Małgorzata Dworzańska – psychologist, certified trainer at the School for Business Coaches and Personnel Consultants, coach (graduated School of Professional Coaching at the Institute for Psychoeducation and Integral Development), career counselor, certified mediator.
She has almost 20 years of experience in designing and conducting trainings and coaching in the area of interpersonal competence development and psychology in business and management, including the development of creative skills. Since 2003, she has completed over 10000 hours as a trainer, coach and professional advisor.
Manager of the Coaching and Training School at the Creative Education Centre "Kangaroo". Co-founder and vice president of the FORMS Foundation, which is engaged in activities aimed at: supporting people in a particularly disadvantaged life and social situation; elimination of barriers in the access of disadvantaged social groups to public, social and cultural goods and activities for the education of civil society. Co-author and implementer of several projects aimed at cultural education and development of participants' creativity.
Privately, she is passionate about the Suwałki region and Masuria Garbate region.

Employee of SOSW no.1, since 1995 co-worker of Polish Association of the Blind in Częstochowa, and since 2010 of PWSH POMERANIA. Author, co-author and coordinator of numerous projects addressed to people with intellectual and visual disabilities and their environment.
