The course is devoted to the procedure of conducting investment projects appraisal. It presents fundamental methods used for investment evaluation and discusses the construction of a financial plan, which is essential for accurately determining the values of profitability indicators. The course consists of 8 sections and the final exam. The course is self-paced.
The target audience includes all individuals interested in the topic of investment appraisal.

By participating in the course, you will:
The first module discusses the essence of investments and presents the concept of the time value of money.
The second module presents fundamental methods used in investment appraisal: Net Present Value (NPV) and Internal Rate of Return (IRR).
The third module introduces complementary methods used in investment appraisal: Profitability Index (PI) and Discounted Payback Period (DPP).
The fourth module presents the construction of a financial plan: building income statements, planning working capital needs, and forecasting cash flow statement.
The fifth module presents the investment appraisal from the perspective of owners.
The sixth module presents the investment appraisal from the perspective of all financing parties (all capital suppliers).
The seventh module is devoted to sensitivity analysis.
The eighth module presents the principles of comparing mutually exclusive projects with different economic lifespans.
The ninth module includes the final exam.
The course includes knowledge-checking questions ("Knowledge Check") and the final exam. Knowledge-checking questions appear gradually as you progress through the course, and these questions are found in various sections of the course. A total of ten knowledge-checking questions are included in the course, and the maximum number of points for these questions is 10.
At the end of the course, the final exam is included, which also consists of ten questions. You can earn a maximum of 10 points for the final exam.
The contribution of the ten knowledge-checking questions placed within the course and the contribution of the final exam to the final assessment are equal — both contributions amount to 50%. To pass the course, you must achieve a minimum of 55% of the total points.
To receive a certificate, you must pass the course (earn at least 55% of the total points).
