Opis kursu

The course was created as part of the project "E-learning courses for UTH engineers"

COURSE OBJECTIVES

General objectives:

  • encouraging people to study technical sciences;
  • help students understand the basic material presented in the subject Metrology and its derivatives;
  • getting acquainted with examples of using basic measuring tools;
  • acquisition of practical knowledge that can be used in the work of an engineer requiring basic knowledge of technical and legal requirements regarding the use of units of physical quantities, standards, methods and principles used in metrological measurements;
  • developing skills of analytical processing and interpretation of obtained measurement results.

Educational outcomes:

  • gaining knowledge about the methods of measuring and the interpretation of the results obtained;
  • substantive preparation for classes in the subject of Metrology;
  • expanding the scope of information regarding the processing and use of acquired measurement data;
  • acquiring the ability to verify the correct selection of the measurement method;
  • acquiring the ability to process measurement results;
  • acquiring the ability to analyze measurement results;
  • acquiring skills in cooperation and using the e-learning/MOOC platform.

Initial requirements

knowledge of mathematical calculus

SUBJECT ISSUES

Module 1

The first module presents basic information in the field of metrological measurements.

Module 2

The second module presents the principles of taking measurements.

Module 3

The third module presents the methods of determining the measurement uncertainty.

Module 4

Verification of the acquired knowledge - test.

Conditions for passing

The basic requirement to pass the course and receive a certificate is to familiarize yourself with all materials contained in individual modules, solve partial tests and the final test. An important criterion for self-verification and expanding acquired knowledge is activity and participation in substantive discussion on the course forum. To pass it is necessary to obtain a minimum of 50% of points.
