The course was designed as part of the project entitled: "Wrocław learns online" No: POWR.03.01.00-00-W073/18, co-financed by the European Union from the European Social Fund under the Operational Programme Knowledge Education Development.


The course is intended for students, entrepreneurs and people who work in companies. Participants do not necessarily have to plan to start their own business. 


PREREQUISITES

You do not need to have any background knowledge to proceed with the course. The course is intended for anyone interested.


COURSE OBJECTIVES

In lectures and practical exercises, the participants will find a close reference to the philosophy of Turquoise Organizations. After completing the course, they will be able to analyze business initiatives and projects, create a business plan, and make simple financial analyzes. An additional issue appearing during the course will be project management.

After completing the course, participants will:

  • have the ability to analyze the initiative and business project,
  • be able to create a business plan and simple financial analyzes,
  • be able to analyze the business environment.

COURSE CONTENT

MODULE 1. Welcome to the course!

In module 1, you will learn about the most important aspects of this course. You will learn who it is directed to and why you should complete it.

MODULE 2. Business environment

In module 2, you will learn what the company's business environment is and what areas of this environment can be distinguished. The analysis of the environment allows you to better plan the company's activities.

MODULE 3. Blue ocean

In module 3, we will focus primarily on blue ocean strategy. We will explain what it is and we will present the tools for creating a blue ocean strategy. Finally, we will show a comparison of the blue ocean and red ocean strategies.

MODULE 4. Porter’s 5 Forces – sector profitability analysis

In module 4, we will look at Porter's 5 Forces model. We will explain what this model is and how to analyze the profitability of the sector.

MODULE 5. Value in a company

In module 5, we will deal with value creation in the enterprise and value management. We will also explain what the value chain of M.E. Porter is.

MODULE 6. Marketing myopia

In module 6, we will deal with marketing myopia.

MODULE 7. Planning and implementation of the strategy

In module 7, we will deal with the strategy, and more specifically its planning and implementation.

MODULE 8. Project management

In module 8, we will deal with project management. You will learn the characteristics of several project management methodologies and how to conduct a business simulation.

MODULE 9. Basic economic indicators of enterprises

In module 9, we will deal with the ratio analysis of enterprises and their valuation.

MODULE 10. Business plan

In module 10, we will deal with the preparation of a business plan.


CONDITIONS FOR PASSING THE COURSE

To pass the course and obtain a certificate you have to read the entire material and get a total of 50% of the points that can be gained from the activities included in the course.
