Team Management – Managerial Training

The course was designed as part of the project entitled: "Wrocław learns online" No: POWR.03.01.00-00-W073/18, co-financed by the European Union from the European Social Fund under the Operational Programme Knowledge Education Development.

The course "Team management – managerial training" is intended for students and for all people for whom team management and building their image as a leader plays an important role in business.

The course includes practical advice, case studies and the necessary theory in the field of team management. All the examples are from recent years and are easy to understand.

The course consists of 10 modules that the Participant may pursue at his/her own pace. The content is varied with films, graphics and exercises. There is a short test at the end of each module.

PREREQUISITES

You do not need to have any background knowledge to proceed with the course. The course is intended for anyone interested.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

• You will gain knowledge on how to increase the efficiency of the team's work and employee motivation.
• You will learn the principles of effective communication with the team.
• You will learn how to develop team goal setting and prioritization skills.
• You will see how important it is to learn and use techniques to resolve conflict situations.

COURSE CONTENT

MODULE 1

In the first module, we will consider whether a manager can also be a leader.

MODULE 2

In the second module course, you will learn the characteristics of individual management styles, as well as their advantages and disadvantages.

MODULE 3

In the third module, you will learn about a very popular leadership model – situational leadership, developed by Ken Blanchard.

MODULE 4

In the fourth module, we will deal with the managing techniques. We will present in detail the technique of management by objectives and the Harzburg model.

MODULE 5 

In the fifth module, you will learn the most important information on motivation. We will explain what the motivational process is and how to recognize motivational tension.

MODULE 6

In the sixth module, you will learn what the Myers-Briggs questionnaire is and what it is for. You will also have the opportunity to complete this questionnaire and find out about your strengths.

MODULE 7

In the seventh module, you will learn the most important information about public speaking. You will learn, among other things, the rules to be followed and how to keep your audience's attention.

MODULE 8

In module 8 we will deal with project management. You will learn the characteristics of several project management methodologies and how to conduct a business simulation.

MODULE 9

In the ninth module, you will learn the most important information on service management. You will learn, among other things, the importance of ITIL and the areas of service management.

MODULE 10

The last module of the course will focus on communication aimed at avoiding conflict. You will learn the four steps of nonviolent communication and the four communication choices worth making.

CONDITIONS FOR PASSING THE COURSE

To pass the course and obtain a certificate you have to read the entire material and get a total of 50% of the points that can be gained from the activities included in the course.
